Novo Nordisk Foundation funding supports MitoPort, a mechanistic atlas of mitochondrial solute transport.
The Novo Nordisk Foundation has awarded a DKK 13 million NERD grant to support MitoPort: Mechanisms of Mitochondrial Transport in Metabolic Disease. The project aims to build a comprehensive molecular-level map of how mitochondrial transport proteins move essential molecules across the inner mitochondrial membrane, and how disease-associated perturbations disrupt transport.
